James Shipley is 30 years old, has a wife and one son, and they reside in Beaver County. His passion is working with at risk adults, those who have come from similar backgrounds as himself. This is why he founded SKILLS. SKILLS is an adult training program which is designed to help at-risk adults enter or reenter the workforce as productive contributors to their communities. SKILLS also offers low-cost and free plumbing services to those in the surrounding areas. The second and most important part of SKILLS is the security of their friends’ souls. That is why James teamed up with CLM as an associate and created Renewed, an organic church plant, which is designed to be an intimate relationship with Jesus without all the “business as usual” that so much of the church has become. Renewed is a place where a junkie or prostitute would love to come and feel welcomed.
